2/12/2009 Nammo Talley, Inc. announced it acquired Composite Solutions, LLC for an undisclosed amount. Mesa, Arizona-based Nammo Talley designs, develops, and produces propellant-based products in the United States.



2/24/2009 Ghd, Inc. announced it acquired Arizona Engineering Company for an undisclosed amount. Arizona Engineering Company is based in Flagstaff, Arizona and provides civil engineering and land surveying services.



2/27/2009 Answers Systems Inc. announced it acquired Helm Software, Inc. for an undisclosed amount. Phoenix, Arizona-based Helm Software provides foodservice contract management and sales operations solutions.



M&A - Financial

2/02/2009 Phoenix, Arizona-based Meadow Valley Corporation (NasdaqCM: MVCO) completed its merger with an affiliate of Insight Equity Holdings LLC in a $62 million transaction. The CEO Bradley Larson, Chief Administrative Officer Kenneth Nelson, and Arizona Area President Robert Bottcher will all remain with the business. Meadow Valley operates in construction services, materials and materials testing in the United States. Greenberg Traurig, LLP represented the Management team as legal counsel and DLA Piper LLP represented the Special Committee of the Meadow Valley board of directors.

2/11/2009 Phoenix, Arizona-based Mesa Air Group, Inc. (NasdaqGS:MESA) announced that it completed transactions in connection with the restructuring of $52.1 million of senior convertible notes and $120.4 million of senior convertible notes. The restructuring included the exchange of such notes for consideration consisting of a combination of cash, common stock and new senior notes. Mesa Air Group provides scheduled passenger and airfreight services. DLA Piper LLP represented Mesa Air Group.
