M&A - Strategic

6/1/2016 Aerostar Aerospace Manufacturing, Inc. acquired Warmelin Precision Products. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Aerostar manufactures and markets industrial equipment and is based in Phoenix.    

6/1/2016 A-Gas Americas acquired Rapid Recovery, Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Based in Peoria, Rapid Recovery provides refrigerant recovery services for the HVAC, refrigeration, demolition, and marine industries.    

6/6/2016 Centauri Health Solutions, Inc. acquired IMI Health Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Scottsdale-based Centauri Health Solutions designs and develops cloud-based software and comprehensive data management solutions for risk adjustment and quality-based revenue programs.    

6/6/2016 Cameo Global, Inc. acquired InfoReach, Inc. from Venture51 Capital Fund LLP and others. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Venture51 Capital Fund is a venture capital firm based in Phoenix.    

6/16/2016 D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments, L.L.C. and Bright Plain Renewable Energy, LLC acquired the Portal Ridge Solar Project from First Solar, Inc. (NasdaqGS:FSLR). The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. First Solar provides solar energy solutions and is based in Tempe.    

6/16/2016 Blood Systems, Inc. agreed to acquire Inland Northwest Blood Center. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Blood Systems also agreed to acquire Belle Bonfils Memorial Blood Center for approximately $15.0 million. Scottsdale-based Blood Systems operates blood banks, blood test laboratories and research centers.

6/22/2016 Breakthru Beverage Group, LLC acquired a 50% stake in Alliance Beverage Distributing Co. LLC. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Alliance Beverage Distributing is based in Phoenix and distributes alcoholic beverages in Arizona.

6/24/2016 Henkel Consumer Goods, Inc. agreed to acquire The Sun Products Corporation for $3.6 billion. Scottsdale-based Henkel distributes adhesives, hair care products, duct tapes, soaps, laundry detergents, and antiperspirants/deodorants. Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP is serving as legal advisor to Henkel.                 

6/27/2016 American Home Shield Corporation acquired One Guard Holdings, LLC. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Based in Phoenix, One Guard Holdings provides home warranty and service plans for homeowners.    

6/30/2016 Teladoc, Inc. (NYSE:TDOC) agreed to acquire Healthiest You Corporation for approximately $160.0 million. Phoenix-based Healthiest You develops a mobile application that enables users to have access to a telehealth provider network of doctors for treatments and free consultations.    

M&A - Financial

6/9/2016 Turnspire Capital Partners acquired United Plastics Group, Inc. from MedPlast, Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Tempe-based MedPlast provides integrated plastics processing solutions for finished goods medical applications globally.  

6/24/2016 Versa Capital Management, Inc. acquired an unknown stake in SynCardia Systems, Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. SynCardia Systems is a medical technology company that focuses on developing, manufacturing, and commercializing the SynCardia temporary Total Artificial Heart (TAH-t) and is headquartered in Tucson.  

Private Placements

6/2/2016 CyMedica Orthopedics, Inc. announced that it will receive $13.0 million in a round of debt funding from 23 investors. CyMedica Orthopedics is a medical device company that develops and commercializes products that target joint injuries and is based in Scottsdale.  

6/24/2016 Universal Technical Institute, Inc. (NYSE:UTI) announced that it has received $70.0 million in a round of equity funding from Coliseum Capital Management, LLC. Universal Technical Institute provides postsecondary education services for students seeking careers as professional automotive, diesel, collision repair, motorcycle, and marine technicians and is headquartered in Scottsdale. Squire Patton Boggs LLP served as legal advisor to Universal Technical Institute.
