7/6/2016 Merit Medical Systems, Inc. (NasdaqGS:MMSI) acquired DFINE Inc. for $97.5 million. Merit Medical Systems is based in South Jordan and designs, develops, manufactures, and markets medical devices for interventional and diagnostic procedures worldwide.    

7/7/2016 Legg Mason Inc. (NYSE:LM) agreed to acquire an 82% stake in Financial Guard LLC. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Financial Guard is based in Salt Lake City and provides online investment and financial advisory services.    

7/11/2016 Relyco Sales Inc. acquired the check supply business from Piracle, Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Piracle is based in Murray and provides payment management tools. Its check supply business engages in the distribution of secure check stocks, envelopes, and MICR toner.    

7/14/2016 4over, Inc. acquired ASAP Printing Corporation. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. ASAP Printing is based in Salt Lake City and provides offset printing services.    

7/19/2016 Great Western Leasing & Sales, Inc. acquired Pacific Truck & Trailer, Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Great Western Leasing & Sales is based in North Salt Lake and operates as a flatbed trailer and construction trailer dealer.    

7/19/2016 Pluralsight LLC acquired Train Simple. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Pluralsight is headquartered in Farmington and provides online development and IT training services for software professionals worldwide.    

7/27/2016 Clinical Innovations, LLC acquired MediPurpose Pte Ltd, babyLance from MediPurpose Pte Ltd. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Clinical Innovations is based in Murray and engages in the research, development, and manufacturing of medical devices that improve the lives of mothers and their babies.    

M&A - Financial  

7/24/2016 Apollo Global Management, LLC (NYSE:APO) agreed to acquire Outerwall Inc. (NasdaqGS:OUTR) for approximately $1.65 billion from Arlington Value Capital, LLC and others. Arlington Value Capital is a privately owned hedge fund sponsor headquartered in Salt Lake City.    

Private Placements  

7/8/2016 Nordstrom Inc. (NYSE:JWN) acquired an unknown minority stake in DS Co. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. DS is based in American Fork and operates a drop shipping integration platform that enables enterprise retailers and brand manufacturers to exchange data and access real time analytics, BI, and SLA notifications.    

7/11/2016 Central Logic, Inc. announced that it will raise $11.7 million in a round of funding from Iron Gate Capital, Mercato Partners and others. As of July 26, 2016, Central Logic has received $5.9 million in funding from nine investors. Central Logic provides transfer center and bed management solutions and is based in South Jordan. Mercato Partners is a private equity and venture capital firm based in Salt Lake City.    

7/12/2016 SirionLabs Private Limited announced that it has received $12.1 in its Series B round led by existing investor Sequoia Capital India with participation from Qualgro Asean Fund and Canopy Group. Canopy Group is a venture capital firm based in Lindon.    

7/13/2016 True Fit Corporation announced that it has received $25.0 million in its Series B round of funding with participation from Intel Capital, Jump Capital, and Signal Peak Ventures. Signal Peak Ventures is a private equity and venture capital firm based in Salt Lake City.    

7/14/2016 Grow, Inc. announced that it has received $11.0 million in its Series A round of funding led by new investor Toba Capital. Grow develops dashboard software for executives and teams at small and medium companies and is based in Provo.    

7/19/2016 Doppler Labs, Inc. announced that it has received $24.0 million in its Series B round of funding from The Chernin Group, LLC and others. Doppler Labs develops and provides earplugs with reduced volume and is headquartered in Provo.  

7/22/2016 Kodiak Cakes, LLC announced that it has received $16.5 million in a round of funding from new investor Sunrise Strategic Partners, LLC  and others. Kodiak Cakes produces whole grain pancakes and mixes and is based in Park City.
