M&A - Strategic  

10/11/2016 PierianDx, Inc. acquired Tute Genomics, Inc. from Intermountain Healthcare, BoomStartup, LLC, Park City Angels, Peak Ventures, Salt Lake Life Sciences and other shareholders. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Tute Genomics develops a cloud-based application that delivers genomic insights to genetics research, clinicians, and medical practitioners and is based in Provo. Intermountain Healthcare owns and operates hospitals and clinics and is based in Salt Lake City. BoomStartup is an investment firm specializing in start-up incubation and is based in Sandy. Park City Angels in an investment firm based in Park City. Peak Ventures is a venture capital firm based in Provo. Salt Lake Life Science Angels is a non-profit investment group based in Salt Lake City.    

10/13/2016 CIRCOR International, Inc. (NYSE:CIR) agreed to acquire Critical Flow Solutions for $214.0 million. Critical Flow manufactures service equipment for refining operations and is based in Salt Lake City.    

10/17/2016 Imagine Learning, Inc. acquired Think Through Learning Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Imagine Learning develops language and literacy solutions to elementary students in the United States and internationally and is based in Provo.    

10/19/2016 ISTO Technologies, Inc. acquired Arteriocyte Medical Systems, Inc. Financing for the transaction was provided by DW Healthcare Partners and Comerica Bank's Technology and Life Sciences Division. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. DW Healthcare is a private equity and venture capital firm based in Park City.    

10/26/2016 ValuD Consulting, LLC acquired Asset Management Engineering, Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Asset Management Engineering provides information technology consulting and technical services for managing facility, fleet, and infrastructure assets and is based in St. George.    

10/28/2016 Dominion Midstream Partners, LP (NYSE:DM) entered into an agreement to acquire Questar Pipeline, LLC from Dominion Resources, Inc. (NYSE:D) for $1.7 billion. Questar, together with its subsidiaries, provides natural gas transportation and underground storage services in Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado and is based in Salt Lake City.  

10/28/2016 Flux reached an agreement in principle to acquire all the assets of Jolly Fish Press, LLC. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Jolly Fish Press publishes trade fiction and non-fiction books in the United States and internationally and is based in Provo.  

M&A - Financial  

10/5/2016 Alpine Investors acquired Architectural Computer Services, Inc. dba ARCOM. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. ARCOM develops and offers architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) software that integrates building specification content and is based in Salt Lake City.  

Private Placements  

10/3/2016 Jive Communications, Inc. announced that it will receive $74.5 million in an equity round of funding. On October 18, 2016, Jive received $3.3 million from two investors in its first tranche closing. Jive provides enterprise-grade hosted VoIP and unified communications to businesses and institutions worldwide and is based in Orem.    

10/11/2016 Azteca Systems, Inc. announced that it has received $14.5 million in an equity round of funding. The transaction included participation from new investors Polaris Partners and Blue Cloud Ventures. Azteca is engaged in the development of Geographic Information Systems centric software applications and is based in Sandy.    

10/13/2016 Domo, Inc. announced that it has received $6.3 million in funding from 13 investors. Domo develops a cloud-based business management platform and is based in American Fork.    

10/18/2016 Connexion Point, LLC announced that it has received a round of funding from new investor Veronis Suhler Stevenson. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Connexion Point operates as a tech-enabled healthcare services company and is based in Salt Lake City. Ogden Murphy Wallace served as legal advisor to Connexion Point.    

10/25/2016 Lendio Inc. announced that it has received $20.0 million in funding from Comcast Ventures, North Hill Ventures, and other investment firms. Lendio operates an online marketplace that allows business owners to find small business loans and is based in South Jordan.  

10/26/2016 Secturion Systems, Inc. announced that it will raise $6.0 million in a round of funding. As of November 8, 2016, Secturion has received $4.0 million in funding from two investors in the first tranche. Secturion develops and delivers secure enterprise data storage and protection appliances and is based in Clearfield.
