Private Placements

4/7/2010 Fusion-io, Inc. announced that it will raise proceeds of $45.0 million in its Series C round of funding. As of April 16, 2010, the company announced that it has raised proceeds of $43,790,177 from a total of 20 investors in the transaction. Salt Lake City-based Fusion-io, Inc. provides enterprise storage architecture and I/O solutions.



4/12/2010 Zinch Inc. announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from existing investor New World Ventures. Zinch Inc. operates a Facebook-like Web site that allows students to post profiles for recruitment into colleges and universities in the United States and internationally. It is based in Provo, Utah.



4/15/2010 HealthEquity, Inc. acquired a 25% stake in First HSA, Inc. from VIST Financial Corp (NasdaqGS: VIST). Draper-based HealthEquity, Inc., a personal healthcare financial services company, provides solutions to health insurers, benefits administrators, employers, and financial institutions.



4/23/2010 MoJiva, Inc. announced that it will raise $7.0 million in a round of equity funding from five investors. Two of the investors are UV Partners and Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments. Salt Lake City-based UV Partners is a venture capital firm specializing in investments in seed, early, and emerging companies. It seeks to invest in information technology and life sciences companies.
