5/4/2010 Lifetime Products, Inc. acquired the assets of Dragonfly Innovation Corp. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Lifetime Products manufactures and distributes lifestyle products. The company was founded in 1973 and is based in Clearfield, Utah.



5/7/2010 Clarus Corp. (OTCPK: CLRS) signed a definitive agreement to acquire Black Diamond Equipment, Ltd. for $90 million in cash. Black Diamond Equipment, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, designs and manufactures equipment for rock climbers, ice climbers, boulderers, alpinists, and freeride skiers.



5/13/2010 Merit Medical Systems, Inc. (NasdaqGS: MMSI) signed a definitive agreement to acquire BioSphere Medical, Inc. (NASDAQ: BSMD) from Cerberus Partners, L.P. and Cerberus International, Ltd. and other investors for $82.1 million in cash. Merit Medical Systems designs, develops, manufactures, and markets single-use medical products for interventional and diagnostic procedures worldwide. The company was founded in 1987 and is based in South Jordan, Utah. Parr Brown Gee & Loveless, PC served as legal advisor to Merit Medical Systems.

5/7/2010 Red Leaf Resources, Inc. announced that it will raise $50 million in a round of equity funding. As of May 17, 2010, the company has raised $46.3 million from six investors. Red Leaf Resources engages in the production and sale of alternative fuel solutions in the United States. The company was founded in 2006 and is based in Sandy, Utah.



5/13/2010 Move Networks, Inc. announced that it will raise $20 million in a round of debt funding. As of May 26, 2010, the company has raised $3 million from two investors. Move Networks provides digital media publishing and delivery services. The company was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in American Fork, Utah.
