8/3/2020 Lake Superior Community Health Center, Inc. acquired White Pine Dental. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. White Pine Dental operates dental clinics that offer restorative, cosmetic, family, and pediatric dentistry services and is based in Murray.

8/4/2020 R. & D. Biocogency Laboratories Inc. Ltd. agreed to acquire an unknown majority stake in Rafarma Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (OTCPK:RAFA). The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Rafarma is a multi-product pharmaceutical company that produces and sells drugs, generic antibiotics, and specialty pharmaceuticals and is based in Sandy.

8/11/2020 Dynata acquired Sharpr Corporation. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Sharpr develops a cloud-based knowledge management, content syndication, and publishing platform and is based in Salt Lake City.

8/11/2020 Health Catalyst, Inc. (NasdaqGS:HCAT) agreed to acquire VitalWare, LLC for $152.3 million. Health Catalyst provides data and analytics technology and services to healthcare organizations and is based in Salt Lake City.

8/11/2020 Dentons US LLP agreed to acquire Durham Jones & Pinegar. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Durham Jones & Pinegar is a law firm based in Salt Lake City.

8/18/2020 Milliman, Inc. acquired Torch Insight from Leavitt Partners, LLC. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Leavitt develops Torch Insight Solution, a SaaS healthcare data and analytics tool, and is based in Salt Lake City.

8/18/2020 Alera Group, Inc. acquired Banasky Insurance, Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Banasky provides insurance services, such as property & casualty insurance solutions, and is based in Price.

8/20/2020 Sunroc Corporation acquired Assets of Depatco, Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Sunroc provides construction materials and services, including ready-mix concrete, asphalt, sand and gravel, masonry, earthwork, utility construction, and asphalt paving, to municipalities, state agencies, and professional contractors throughout the Intermountain West and is based in St. George.

8/21/2020 Bionano Genomics, Inc. (NasdaqCM:BNGO) acquired Lineagen, Inc. for $9.6 million. Lineagen operates as a genetics diagnostic company that focuses on genetic testing and clinical information services for various neurodevelopmental disorders and is based in Salt Lake City. 

8/27/2020 TricorBraun, Inc. agreed to acquire Price Container and Packaging Corporation. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Price distributes food and water packaging supplies and is based in Willard.

8/27/2020 Appriss Inc. acquired Typhoon Data LC. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Typhoon Data is a healthcare technology company that provides healthcare sanctions and credentialing solutions and is based in Orem. 

8/31/2020 CleanSpark, Inc. (NasdaqCM:CLSK) acquired GridFabric, LLC. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. CleanSpark provides energy software and control technology and is based in Bountiful.

8/5/2020 The Blackstone Group Inc. (NYSE:BX) agreed to acquire an unknown majority stake in Ancestry.com LLC. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Ancestry.com provides online family history and personal DNA testing services for subscribers worldwide and is based in Provo.

8/28/2020 ReStage, a fund managed by The Stage Fund, agreed to acquire Needle, Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Needle provides real time expert shopping assistance services for e-commerce websites and is based in Bluffdale.

Private Placements

8/3/2020 NuView Life Sciences, Inc. announced that it will receive $90.0 million in an equity round of funding from Global Emerging Markets. NuView is a biopharmaceutical company that engages in the discovery, development, and commercialization of diagnostic imaging probes and is based in Park City. Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is serving as legal advisor to NuView.

8/11/2020 Pattern announced that it has received $52.0 million in its Series A round of funding from Ainge Advisory, SV Investment Corporation, Kensington Capital Ventures, and other investors. Pattern offers brand management and advertising services and is based in Lehi.

8/13/2020 Ivanti Software, Inc. announced that it will receive a strategic growth investment from new investor TA Associates Management, L.P. Ivanti provides information technology management software solutions and is based in South Jordan.

8/13/2020 Throtle, Inc. announced that it has received multi-million-dollar funding from Decathlon Capital Partners, LLC. Decathlon is a venture capital firm based in Park City. 

8/17/2020 Coatue Management, L.L.C. agreed to acquire a 9.27% stake in Vivint Solar, Inc. (NYSE:VSLR) from The Blackstone Group Inc. (NYSE:BX) for $250.0 million. Vivint provides distributed solar energy primarily to residential customers and is based in Lehi.

8/18/2020 Cyware Labs Inc. announced that it has received $10.0 million in its Series A round of funding from Prelude, a fund managed by Mercato Partners; Tanium Inc.; Emerald Development Managers; and Great Road Holdings. Mercato is a private equity and venture capital firm based in Cottonwood Heights.

8/18/2020 Savi Solution Inc. announced that it has raised $5.0 million in a round led by an industry-leading strategic partner. Savi offers user interfaces for monitoring and controlling surveillance and onsite data collection services and is based in Centerville.

8/24/2020 Clene Nanomedicine, Inc. announced that it has received $42.5 million in funding from 61 investors. Clene Nanomedicine is a biopharmaceutical company that develops technology solutions for drug development and is based in Salt Lake City.

8/25/2020 Socure Inc. announced it has received $35.0 million in its equity round of funding from Sorenson Capital, Commerce Ventures, Scale Management, LLC, and other investors. Sorenson Capital is a private equity and venture capital firm based in Lehi.

8/28/2020 BrainStorm, Inc. announced that it has received $10.0 million in funding from two investors. BrainStorm provides software end-user training services and is based in American Fork.
