An affiliated company of E-J Electric Acquires CS Construction

Columbia West (“CW”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of CS Construction, Inc. ("CSCI"), an Arizona market leader in traffic signals, lighting and concrete-based solutions, by an affiliate of the Mann family offices, owners of the E-J Electric Installation Co. based in New York.

Founded in Arizona in 1980, CSCI has grown to be a prominent civil infrastructure contractor in both Arizona and the Southwest U.S. With two complementary divisions servicing the built environment, CSCI holds a commanding position as a specialist in building and maintaining traffic and lighting projects primarily for federal, state, county and city governments. This includes intelligent traffic systems, fiber optics, roadway lighting, LEDs, stadium and park lighting. The CSCI concrete division builds structures like highway and pedestrian bridges, foundations, commercial buildings, water drainage, park hardscaping and culverts for government and private clients. CSCI has worked as both a general contractor or a subcontractor on many of the largest and most demanding projects in the region.

E-J Electric Installation Co. (“E-J”) is ranked #14 largest in the U.S. by the industry organization Electrical Construction & Maintenance. As a Mann family-owned business, E-J was established in 1899 and is believed to be the largest independent electrical construction business in the country with more than 1,800 employees and nearly $1B in annual sales. E-J is active in all facets of electrical construction primarily in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut areas, and the CSCI acquisition by the Mann family offices will be their first outside the New England states.

Going forward, the entity will continue to operate as CS Construction Inc. and owners Michael Borden, Zach Teegarden and Ross Genenbacher will all continue in their current capacities. Mr. Teegarden and Mr. Genenbacher will continue to be equity owners.
